Terms of service

Last updated 22 October 2026. These terms are between you, the studio using the service, and The Grain Studio, [LEGAL FORM], [ADDRESS], VAT IT05036490265 (“we”). By creating an account you accept them.

1. The service

The Grain Studio is a web and mobile application for managing a photography business: inquiries, clients, proposals, contracts, payment plans and emails. We provide it as it is described on the website and improve it over time.

2. Your account and your studio

You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for what happens under it and for keeping your sign-in private. Each studio belongs to the person who created it.

3. Trial, subscription and payment

Every new studio has a free trial of 14 days, with no card required. After it, the service needs a monthly or yearly subscription, paid through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time from the billing portal, and the service stays open until the end of the paid period. Prices are shown on the website and may change with 30 days’ notice; a change applies from your next renewal.

4. Payments from your couples

Payments from your clients go to your own Stripe account, under Stripe’s terms. We create payment links and receive notifications of payments; we never hold or move your money, and we are not a party to the agreements between you and your clients.

5. Your data

Everything you and your clients enter stays yours. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy, and we act as your data processor for your clients’ personal data under a data processing agreement available on request. You can export your data at any time and delete your studio, which removes it.

6. Acceptable use

Use the service for your own photography business and in accordance with the law, including the rules on commercial email. Do not try to access other studios’ data, overload the service or resell it.

7. Availability and support

We aim for the service to be available at all times but cannot promise it; maintenance and outages happen. Support is by email at help@thegrainstudio.app.

8. Liability

The service is provided with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending

You can stop at any time by cancelling and deleting your studio. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, after notice where reasonable.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Italy; disputes go to the courts of [CITY], without prejudice to consumer rights that apply regardless.
